ICE Just Arrested 18 Smugglers, 117 Illegal Aliens And Confiscated Over 1,000 lbs Of Marijuana In One Bust
ICE has arrested 18 smugglers, 117 illegal aliens and confiscated 1,000 lbs of marijuana. On ice.gov they reported: "EL PASO, Texas — Special agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and agents with U.S. Border Patrol arrested 18 alien smugglers and seized cash, vehicles and more than 1,000 lbs. of marijuana last month in a joint effort.
Special agents assigned to HSI El Paso’s human smuggling group and Border Patrol agents, who are part of HSI’s Border Enforcement Security Task Force (BEST), worked together to identify, locate and arrest smugglers operating alien smuggling organizations in southern New Mexico and the El Paso area.
The following two U.S. citizens are among the alien smugglers who were arrested and charged with alien smuggling:• Elias Serrano, 42, with prior convictions for aggravated stalking, kidnapping, possessing a deadly weapon and possessing marijuana with intent to distribute; and • Jesus Briseno, 25, with prior convictions for escape from custody, possessing marijuana, assault/causing injury to family member, and driving while intoxicated.Additionally, agents arrested 117 illegal aliens, which included the following criminal aliens:• a 34-year-old Guatemalan with an outstanding warrant out of Florida for driving under the influence, and also charged with illegally re-entering the U.S. after deportation;• a 30-year-old Mexican with ties to a Mexican drug cartel was arrested for fraud and misuse of visas; and• a 32-year-old Mexican with convictions for child endangerment and driving while intoxicated, was arrested for illegally re-entering the U.S. after deportation."
The month long enforcement action resulted in the arrest of illegal aliens in three area stash houses from the following countries: Mexico (93), Guatemala (12), Honduras (6), Brazil (3), El Salvador (2) and Peru (1). The seizures included nine vehicles, three tractor-trailers and $20,000 in U.S and Mexican currency. Read more.
Also read about how Democrats will #WalkAway from their own bill to abolish ICE if it reaches the floor - they were bluffing.
Recap: The Democrats have been demonizing Immigration and Customs Enforcement for months now and have created a narrative that they are "terrorists" in order to fire up support for what is left in their tiny base. Leaders of the Democratic Party knew the Abolishment of ICE would not only take away thousands of jobs from Hispanics (52% of ICE agents are Hispanic and all of them are bilingual) but be catastrophic to national security.

A number of Democrats drafted a bill to abolish the Immigration and Customs Enforcement and then stated they would vote against it if the legislation went to the floor. So in other words they were bluffing. They never intended to abolish ICE. Just like always the Democrats have been lying to the American people. Fake news, and fake narratives. It's hard to believe they think they can "take down Trump" in the mid terms in the first place. They have nothing left in their play book.
Check out this report we found on Fox News that elaborates on more details: "Democrats who drafted a bill to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement [ICE] suddenly announced Thursday night that they would vote against it if the legislation went to the floor, after House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy told Fox News he intended to call their bluff.
"We know Speaker [Paul] Ryan is not serious about passing our 'Establishing a Humane Immigration Enforcement System Act,' so members of Congress, advocacy groups, and impacted communities will not engage in this political stunt," Reps. Mark Pocan of Wisconsin, Pramila Jayapal of Washington and Adriano Espaillat of New York told The Hill and other news outlets. "If Speaker Ryan puts our bill on the floor, we plan to vote no and will instead use the opportunity to force an urgently needed and long-overdue conversation on the House floor."
McCarthy, R-Calif., said earlier Thursday he would place a bill to abolish ICE on the House floor later this month.
Democrats have long pushed back on the administration’s immigration policies but tensions have escalated in the past month over family separations at the border. Calls from some far-left lawmakers to abolish ICE have grown ahead of the November elections.
Former presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., last week slammed the federal agency as being a part of a “cruel, dysfunctional immigration system” that needs “comprehensive” reform."
The evidence is overwhelmingly clear the Democrats truly have run out of ideas. Remember the last idea they had was "Drain the Swamp"? Oh wait, that was President Trump's idea! Looks like the #WalkAway Movement has really taken a toll on them. (About the Author, Source)
